How to Delete a Live Mesh Folder from your Current Computer
Using this method will delete a Microsoft Live Mesh folder from the computer that you perform these steps on. The folder will still be available on your Live Mesh Desktop, as well as other Synchronized computers and devices.
OK, now you’ve shared a folder from one of your computers with Mesh, then you made it available on your other computers, but now you’ve changed your mind, and don’t want the folder on this computer anymore.
Maybe the folder has your world domination plans in it, and you don’t want it on your work computer, or maybe there’s some other reason entirely. Who am I to question your motives? Here’s how you do it.
Note: Clicking on an image will open the full sized image in a new window.
Using Windows Explorer, browse to a location where you can see the folder you want to delete. For example, if the folder is in Documents\!Invitations, then go to your Documents folder.
In the example below, my folder is c:\temp\!Invitations, so I’ve going to open the c:\temp directory.
Now, right click on the folder that you want to delete, click on “Live Mesh Options” in the menu, and then “Delete Folder”.
You’ll be presented with the dialog below. Just click on delete.
The folder will then be deleted from the computer that you performed these steps on. As I mentioned at the beginning of this how to, the folder will still be available on your Live Mesh Desktop, as well as on other devices that it was synchronized on.
So those World Domination plans are still safely synchronized to the computer in your secret lair.
