Surprising Visual Studio 2008 Upgrade Requirements

I was looking to purchase a copy of the Visual Studio 2008 Professional Upgrade, and I realized that according to this page on MSDN, the free version of Visual Studio and free development tools, such as Eclipse, qualify you for an upgrade to Visual Studio 2008.

The professional edition is still $485, $179 for the standard version.
