Cool Text Logo and Graphics Generator

As our listeners, and anyone who visits our site, are probably aware, we need a logo. Since we added Bryan and Mike T, the old logo, which just featured a characture of Art and I just doesn't cut it. Art did a lot of work on our site to get this new theme running, and we've been using the default drupal logo.

The default logo looks much like a blue baby, and we've had several people ask if it's in fact Art and Bryan's blue love child. OK, no one has asked that yet, but I know it's coming.

Unexpected Site Outage

Some of you may have been greeted by a "500 internal server error" when you were accessing this site. Sorry about that. Somehow, my .htaccess file became corrupted.

Thanks to Mark at BlueHost for figuring it out and fixing it!

I was really impressed because I called them, and only had to wait for something like 3 seconds before I was able to talk to him.

What do you do with your old electronic junk?

If you're like me, you have piles of old computer equipment laying around the house or in storage. Some of it was given to you because you're the local neighborhood computer guy, and some of it you actually used years ago and still keep it around just in case.

Well, now it's years later and you're married, and your lovely wife is nagging you to get rid of that pile of junk. Rather than fight a lengthy bloody battle, you quietly concede the argument just to keep peace in the house.

Won't You be My Neighbor?

imageSo you finally took the plunge and got an account with a hosting provider. But you aren't big enough yet to afford a dedicated server, or co-location, so you're using shared hosting.

Did you ever wonder who else is on the same server?

Find your favorite Olympic event with Google.

image

Use Google to find the schedule for your favorite Olympic event. In your Google search box, enter the name of the event you are interested in, then Olympics. For the screen shot here, I searched for "basketball olympics" and Whammo!, there it was. Slick as snake snot on a doorknob.
