Have you ever worked on a computer, not yours of course, that you suspect of having been taken over by a pesky virus or today's most popular spyware? Trust me, I've seen my fair share of infected computers.

A Tip - Isolated FTP Server
The base share should be named the same as the domain that the user accounts belong to. If the accounts only exist on the local machine, then the folder name should be "localhost". Under those, place the user named folders.

Otherwise you'll get:
"530 User %username% cannot log in, home directory inaccessible."
"Login Failed"

EDIT 8/23/08: After further testing, it looks like formatting your USB thumb drive with NTFS introduces a significant performance hit. Your drive will become very slow if you do this, so I apologize that I did not thoroughly test this before I wrote this post.

So, please skip the entire first portion of this post, Format With NTFS, and start with the second portion, Giving Your USB Drive A Drive Letter.
